Course Description

Integrating the practices of both universal and sustainable design not only makes good common sense but it raises the bar for a concept that has been long overlooked; accessible, healthy spaces that are energy efficient and have little impact on the environment. Consider designing for an assisted living environment and while all the principles of universal design are addressed, imagine the integrity of this same space if it were to apply practices and the use of products that optimized indoor air quality and were environmentally friendly. This space would be sustainiversally designed.
